It’s not because I think I’m better than you, or that your blog sucks, I am appreciative of all my followers and love them all. Please understand. I AM GREATFUL TO MY FOLLOWERS, WHETHER I HAVE 10 OR 10 000.

I mainly follow people with similar interests to me, people who talk to me, or people I actually know in real life.

There are also some topics that highly offend me so if you do blog about things of that nature, then I will not follow.

I do not like blatant porn on my dashboard. While I am perfectly fine with subtle sex and nudity, porn of any sorts nauseates me. Not to mention that I am only on Tumblr while I am at work and my boss would not be happy if he were to see porn on my screen. Intentional or not. So if you post hardcore gifs/pics, I will not follow, or I will automatically unfollow.

Porn includes oversharing your “alone” time with yourself. I, as well as the rest of Tumblr, really are not interested in just how many times a day you masturbate. Fap alone please, not with the rest of us.

Another pet hate is self harm. It’s not cool to post pictures of your intentional wounds, or to reblog others just because you are in that frame of mind. I understand that you are possibly using Tumblr as a distraction but, having been down that road myself, looking at pictures of self harm is more than likely going to aggravate your urge, not diminish it. Rather look at positive blogs to help you through your rough patch. It’s also not fair to others who may be following you to see those pictures. Maybe they are also struggling with self harm, you don’t know that. Your blogs may trigger them. And that’s just plain selfish. Like I said, I’ve suffered from cutting myself and I don’t agree with those who glorify it.

I don’t like people who post on “Tumblr famous” blogs just to gain followers. It’s pretty blatant when you do that. Try gain followers on your own, not by piggy backing on others.

I also don’t like people who flood my dash with reblog after reblog. Stuff I see a bazillion times a day. Be original.

Blogs that I won’t even consider following: Pro Ana, Pro Mia, Pro Satanism, Racist, Fattist and Homophobic

I don’t promo people. This isn’t a popularity contest.

I WILL however follow you if you are a nice person. I love personal blogs the most. I love getting to know my followers. I don’t really like blogs that are just reblogs of other peoples stuff. Obviously reblogs are needed, but when the blogs I follow post personal stuff, I love it. It makes it more interesting and makes the blog more like a person and less like a computer :)
